No, Crypto Price Widget is completely client-side and doesn't hold any keys. All code is open source.

Offline while pc is online

Yesterday the widget stopped working because it says the pc has no internet connection.
However, my computer clearly has internet access and the widget is not blocked by firewall.
Any idea how to solve this ?

If I close the app, i can no longer see it if I reopen it.

I was only able to see the app once. I closed it and attempted to reopen it. It opens, but is not visible anywhere. Cascading the window doesn't help. It is simply invisible.

Furthermore I cannot select more than one crypto currency to be visible at any time, save button does not work.

Pin to Front

Need a “pin to front” type of functionality so it’s never behind a window (must work on both Windows and Mac)

suggestion: font and background color options

nice job! post it to microsoft store. Was wonder where you get your price and how often updated. I noticed the windows store apps are not nearly as good as yours. One has an option to select the exchange for the price I think havent looked at it much.

Use Websockets

Use websockets for refreshing data instead of reloading the entire app every 5 seconds.

Coin order on update

When a user already has a set of coins selected/saved and then adds another, the existing custom order is sometimes messed up.
Need to figure out how to just put the latest coin on either the top or bottom.

Separate styling, markup, and logic

Separate CSS and JS from main HTML file for increased readability and maintenance as the app grows.

Offline indicator

Right now, if no internet connection exists, the main screen is just blank.
Would be good to add some type of indicator that there is no internet connection present.

Showing mutiple Coins wont work

Hello !

I want to see Bitcoins & Clubcoins on the same time.
When i check clubcoin, i cant see bitcoins.

Both i cant see together.

Can you pull from Binance API?

It would be great if you could pull from Binance (not sure the data source) as I have a bunch of crypto there that is not listed in the app: Cake, TWT, CTK, HARD, etc. Binance is really leading the way in supporting new projects and that is where the action is. Thanks for your great work and consideration.

Updating Coins does not change coins listed in portfolio

Updating coins only updates coins listed on the main tab.

VET (VeChain) is missing.

Only VEN (VeChain Token) is listed. VET is missing. would be great if you could add this to the list as well...

Exchange options

An option to select the exchange per coin to pull info from.

BTC base currency bug

When BTC is the base currency, BTC in the main app window turns to ETH.
Not sure why at this point.
May have to manually write conditional for this.

Crypto stopped refreshing, than the app broke!

Yesterday the crypto stopped refreshing so I restarted the app and now no crypto show up on the app.

Add ICX Please (ICON coin from South Korea)

There are several coins listed when you search for ICON, including ICONOMI and ICONIC, but the main coin called ICON aka ICX is missing. Can you please add it to your widget? I thought ICON coin listen in there now was the ICX ICON coin and have been watching the wrong prices for over a week! Thanks in advance.

It would be nice to know on Webpage and Readme file that the prices come from `cryptocompare.com`

Took me a little digging in to find out and I'm sure others might have the same question. I'd be happy to update it.

Any way to change the default BTCUSD exchange?

Would love it to be Bitfinex. Any way to change that on my end? Not sure if this app will be updated in the future.

request: open at same position with last viewed tab

It would be great if the app would remember its last position and last viewed tab.

On my 4K Desktop it was still on the right edge, but moved some centimeters downwards after a reboot.

I love your program but just black background disturb me, would it be possible to make it transparent? I was searching in code but I'm just beginner so I was just able to edit colors of save button and custom currency.

Server distributing infected version

I'm receiving reports (as well as my own team's analysis) that the version of the tool being distributed on https://www.cryptopricewidget.net is infected with some kind of wallet stealing software, and potentially other things. This has already caused a loss in our community of around $30,000 worth of coin.

Second Plan

Is it possible to run the application only on second plan? Then, the icon would be hiden from the user while the application is running.

Hi,

1. would be nice, if i could choose the specific exchange. (has been proposed in other comments here i think)
2. would be great, if i can insert there my amount of coins

then everybody would have he's wallet actal price on his exchange :-)

Base currency reverts

If you set the base currency to something other than USD and close/reopen the app, the new base currency is saved and applied correctly.
However, if you add a new coin, and click the "Save" button, the base currency has now reverted to USD.

Portfolio

1. Only 2 numbers after point in portfolio in cryptocurrency, which have 8 decimal numbers?:)
2. No sorting in portfolio

JavaScript Error when executing

Refresh hinders inputting numbers into portfolio

When on the portfolio screen, the app refreshes every 5 seconds, so if you don't finish typing before the next refresh, you have to click back inside the number box.

Cache coin list

Longest loading item right now. Should cache for specific amount of time (week?)

PHP BASE CURRENCY

Hello, can you add PHP base currency please :)

This app broke recently

I have been using this app for some time, but recently it stopped showing the values for all the crypto assets. The app itself seems to work fine, but it doesn't show the value of the crypto assets on all it's views.

I was using 1.2.0, I updated to 1.4.0 and still have the same issues. (Windows 10)

The app would not open/install

I download the version 1.4.0 and my mac is running 10.15.6

Volume next to price.

Really need to see volume, would be nice to see NEXO, HOT, NIO & EDO support as well as the ability to choose the exchange!

Add support for Elrond (ERD)

Elrond, a top 200 token, is not present on the widget and should be added.

request: hide from taskbar

Really nice work, but could you add an option to hide it from the taskbar, no need to occupy space there. Just giving it a small symbol in the right symbolstray would be enough.

Unable to change base currency to BTC

Steps to reproduce:

1. Click gear icon (Settings)
2. Change Base currency to BTC
3. Click Save

Expected:
Base currency is switched to BTC.

Actual:
Continues to show coins in USD value.

Possible problem when taskbar is located at top of screen

Downloaded on both my work laptop (Windows 10) and on my VPS (Windows Server 2016) and when I run the exe nothing seems to happen. I have my taskbar at the top of my screen (instead of the bottom). Maybe this is an issue?
