I have changed the port access number on both the phone and my PC (from
systray), which is being passed through my router - I've already made all
necessary changes to the router to forward the external port to my internal
port (for accessing from outside my network). No changes to the router should
be necessary for accessing my PC from inside the network. Windows 7 Pro's
firewall has also already been configured to allow the port to accept
connections.

When I start PRemoteDroid, the connexion is well established.
When I go to Settings/Connections and I select the second connexion (I have
2 wifi connexions) and I go back to the main menu, the connexion failed. To
succed, I have to press long to the selected connexion and select "Use".
In this case only, I can go back to the main menu and it works.
Then selected the second connexion is not enough we have to press long and
select "Use". Is it really necessary ?

1. install client
2. install server
3. install swype and enable
4. attempt to use the swype keyboard while remotely connected via wifi
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
i expect to see the word i swype'd in the text box on the screen. instead
nothing happens, a blue border around the keyboard flashes once. Backspace
doesn't work. I can use the keyboard as a letter by letter input...just not
swype.

Bluetooth doesn't work with 64 bits JVM.
Mac OS X has a 64 bits JVM by default :

When using the keyboard only the letters works. numbers gives shift
numbers (1=! 2=") and full stop or all other feature will not respond but
mouse works a treat.

I can control mouse by wifi, but bluetooth.
The bluetooth server is runing, but connect refused. Nexus One try to
connect the server time and time again.

This would be cool for any type of track pad UI, but seems especially at
home within an andriod app...
Instead of finger movements relating statically to cursor movement, one can
fling the cursor in any direction... in the same manner that long menus are
flung up and down within android.

Two buttons on the bottom of a screen (next/previous
slide - maybe the third little button to switch to normal
mod could be useful). Text input field (for notes) on the
rest of the screen. Text size should be configurable from
settings. Text can be filled in simply using copy/paste (or
from PC?)

When selecting "Bluetoth Server" on the menu, an error displays saying

Trying to directly opening bluecove-gpl-2.1.0.jar and bluecove-2.1.0.jar

Having buttons for specific usages would be nice. At least a little mouse
pad should be kept in all cases i think.
For exemple, left/right arrow + mouse (probably also with up/down and
space, and perhaps 'M' which is often used as mute key ?).

Currently, using the trackball changes the selected
mouse button, and clicking the trackball issues a
mouse press on the selected button.
Since Android does not have arrow keys in the keyboard
hitting them is nearly impossible. Allowing a setting
to decide between the current use of the trackball and
using the trackball to send arrow keys would be very
helpful to remotely control those applications which
depend on these keys.

I'm running XFCE4 on Arch Linux on my laptop. I use the mouse left handed,
meaning that I have the left and right buttons swapped in XFCE4.
When PRemoteDroid connects to the laptop, it works fine, but every time I tap
the touch pad to issue a click, it issues a right click. I've gotten used to
using the buttons on the side instead, but it would be nice if there was a
PRemoteDroid config option to swap the ordering so I can tap the touch pad
instead.

Using the keyboard (both physic one and virtual one) don't send any
character or action in Windows applications, whatever application has the
focus.
Windows XP sp3 + Milestone 2.1 (was same using 2.01)
Last versions, both for server, and app from market.
It worked with old premotedroid versions : the keys stopped working for me
when the first version with bluetooth came, and never worked again on
newer versions.

Right now, screen is captured when mouse got moved. Update rate is rather
low. Perhaps there is a possibility to lower screen capturing quality (png
with 8-bit color or low-quality jpeg?) but offer a constant update rate?
Would be great, but I also do understand if this is not implemented (as
traffic + CPU usage goes up and it might be kind of complicated to implement)

Prevent the screen to go in stand by, if possible with a configurable time
out (which would be independant to the system lockscreen timeout).
I don't know if it is easy to do, but having it go stand by without locking
(ie not having to unlock when making it on) could be nice too.

I would be nice to have a 'multimedia keys' view in additions to the 'keyboard'
and 'file explorer' ones.
AFAIK, there exists no free/open-source alternative that lets you control
volume and play/pause via Bluetooth under Linux.
