Description of issue

See title. being prone moves head, and some body, overlays (such as helmets, and backpack bands) one tile left of you.

Difference between expected and actual behavior

When I go prone, I expect my clothes and hat to stay on me. (Perhaps the hat is a little idealistic.) but they do not.
I definately don't expect them to phase into a wall, and move around with me.

RUST particle catchers block /obj from being dragged.

Description of issue

When the RUST field is engaged, you can't drag objects through the particle catchers, which are invisible and often spawned several turfs away from the reactor.

Difference between expected and actual behavior

You shouldn't be stopped from dragging things by invisible walls.

Steps to reproduce

Turn on a RUST core.
Drag a thing near it.

Specific information for locating

This is specifically due to the collector objects spawned by the RUST.

Z-Speech is not implemented

Z-Speech was broken/commented-out with the Z-Mimic port with the expectation that Psi would be rewriting it with the say rewrite. The code for this was apparently deleted in #284?

This wasn't an intentional removal, so it should probably get re-added.

Default / Recommended skill sets per job (Feature Request)

This is a feature request to have a system in place that lets jobs have a predetermined set-up for skills. Probably using the most you can get for being as young as possible for the job.

Would allow for people to set up characters quickly or do other occupations without having to spend the time to figure out where they want to put skills. This would help when starting out on a new map/server, making new characters in general, getting new players into the game and so on.

Decals and possibly layers are broken.

Floor decals are not appearing correctly on tiled floors at round start. They still work fine on plating. Seems to happen for most kinds of floor_decals.

Painting the decals on in-game works fine.

Exploration Shuttle unable to land on planets.

Specifically using the bearcat exploration shuttle, if that matters.

Sometimes, when attempting to move the shuttle to a nearby planet, the destination does not appear available on the console listing. It provides no information regarding the reason, but I am told it is likely due to there not being enough open turf for the shuttle to land.

I don't know if this would be considered a bug or not. Perhaps it is a feature request.
The shuttle should force itself into position, deleting things where it would go if that's the case.

self-surgery for head broken

Description of issue

performing surgery on your own head doesn't seem to work at this point, can't even start an incision. can't even fuck UP making your first incision for your own head. All other self-surgery seems to work.

Difference between expected and actual behavior

Any doctor worth their salt would be ashamed of themselves if they had to ask for another surgery to do some measly brain surgery.

Steps to reproduce

Try cutting your own head open with a knife in help intent. I'll bet you can't!

513 Unicode Support

Description of issue

Currently byond 513 is unstable. We waiting to stable version out.
We already can compile Nebula on 513 and even play, but there's already gameplay issues which need to be fixed.

We should investgate how to prepare Nebula work with unicode so we can get a right and full text support (Cyrillic for example).

Difference between expected and actual behavior

Nebula should have unicode support for different multilanguage downstreams.

Here's some info about how byond handle a text in 513 now:

Wheelchairs allow phasing through floors/roof

Description of issue

on accidentally pressing . when I was typing a message without the say box up, I phased through the floor, and started suffocating in space. I couldn't get back, because I was floating in space, and had nothing to push back off of in my wheelchair

Difference between expected and actual behaviour

Pressing . or , shouldn't phase you through solid floor if you're in a wheelchair. I know they help you move, and phasing is a great step up from walking normally, but it's a bit excessive.

Steps to reproduce

Strap into a wheelchair, and push . or , (Make sure you're 'trying' to go to a layer that's mapped, AKA, another floor that actually exists above or below you)

Cyborgs / robots can grab+pull objects but then can't put them down.

Issue I had, was playing as a robot, specifically an engineering robot. Could ctrl+click objects to pull them around but there wasn't a way to let go. (Moving into an object to push it would cause the object to be let go but obviously this doesn't work with small items)

operating in Less-than-ideal surgical settings broken

Description of issue

Dear People Resources,

Yesterday, I operated on a patient who died. No fault of my own, of course, there was a lot of yelling and screaming that distracted me as I decapitated the patient. Distractions happen, but that's hardly the point here. The real point is, I was operating on this patient in less-than-ideal circumstances, on a roller bed on board a shuttle as we transited between the ship and the planet. My hand slipped as I went to remove their skull (it was to be a simple brain surgery), and I figured this was fine, as the slip ended up breaking the skull anyway. I used a patch to fix the damaged brain tissue, and found that I couldn't fix the skull. neither bone gel or bone setter worked to repair the damage. So I started to try to finish removing the skull with a bone setter but got distracted by yelling from my crew mates and decapitated the patient. My bad. I guess.

I thought it was possible that I might have lost the retractor when my hand slipped with the saw, so I attempted to repeat the surgery on a monkey. I performed the surgery flawlessly, and repaired the skull as I expected to. However, then it came time to sew the skin shut from the surgery, and I found myself unable to. The wound had apparently shrunk, too small for use of sutures, and wasn't bleeding due to hemostat. I should note at this point that the surgical opening created left the skull VERY visible, and that the entire crown of the skull was exposed visibly. Seeing no other options, I attempted the surgery again. I couldn't open up with use of the retractor on the wound. I moved the patient to a proper surgical bed, cut the surgical opening again with my scalpel, retracted the injury, checked that the hemostat was still clamping bleeders, ensured the skull was properly set. And then I was FINALLY able to sew the skin shut over the skull.

You can imagine this was very frustrating. And you're probably wondering, "Why is Dessi writing to people resources about her own incompetence?" I need training. Please allocate training.

Best,
-Dessili, MD

Difference between expected and actual behavior

can't sew post-organ-repair patients' skin shut when performing on less-than-optimal surfaces. I used the roller bed for each of my instances.

Steps to reproduce

Attempt surgery on a patient that requires removal of bone to get at organs that need work done. then, close up the surgery.

Specific information for locating

Unsure how else to break that down.

Grab and drag does not work well with multiz movement.

First issue: ctrl-click grabbing an object then clicking on openspace turf with the grab, doesn't drag that object to the openspace turf (unlike other turfs).
Clicking with the grab on a turf, normally move the object to the turf.

Second issue: ctrl-click grabbing objects doesn't like Multi Z movement, it doesn't allow you to pull objects up or down through space or through ladders.
Pulling objects should come up with you for space at the very least.

Third issue: ctrl-click grabbing objects doesn't count atheletics or item size for movespeed delay. It should have some way to count and apply the encumbrance properly

Books jettisoned into space become non-persistant

Description of issue

I was told this secondhand, but books jettisoned into Space do not get saved

Deleted books (by any method, including spacing) should be saved, but are not

Steps to reproduce

Got this secondhand so I don't have exact steps, but step out an airlock and throw a book at the void, observe as it disappears from the library on following rounds

Specific information for locating

Almost certainly due to the fact that books' save-on-delete is done via spawning a backup book and objects that spawn in space don't get tracked by persistence due to area flags

Spider Nurse broken???

Description of issue

Dear People Resources,

Today I got bitten by a spider nurse. All subsequent scans of my person indicated that I should definitely have had a foreign body to remove from my chest. However, when it came time to remove the foreign bodies, there was nothing there to remove. A much, much deeper inspection [view vars] of my person revealed that I had [null] implants in me. Hesitant as I am to assist spiders, as a doctor, I must express concern at their predicament and inability to adequately reproduce. A xenobiologist's investigation might come in handy for understanding this as well - perhaps we can find new, better ways to fight these creatures with the information gleaned from one sterile spider nurse?

Difference between expected and actual behavior

I expected to die at the horrid hatching of these monstrosities. I'm pleased to report I'm not only alive and well, but alive and well enough to be bothering you!

Steps to reproduce

I recommend using a monkey as your guinea pig. To recommend anything more sapient would be the height of unethical medical practice.

Allow the monkey to become riddled with a non-lethal number of spider bites. Separate monkey and the one who impregnated them with spider eggs, and perform a surgery [or a view variable] to examine the resulting eggs. We simply must know more!

Specific information for locating

Nurse spider fang wombs? I'm no xenobiologist. None of this makes sense to me, but it's horrifying all the same.

Shutters can sometimes be opened by throwing things at them.

Kinda wild that you can open secure shutters by throwing, say, a guitar at them.

Also, if a shutter has been forcibly opened, and it is part of a set, toggling the shutters as a group via a button causes the forcibly opened shutters to close, while all the others open, leaving them mismatched.

This will also let you duplicate yourself in the chat room 'who is here' log

Difference between expected and actual behavior

Deleting a chat room should delete it. It does not. it DEFINATELY shouldn't let you duplicate your presence within it

Steps to reproduce

Make an IRC room, delete it. Re-join. Repeat as you please.

small mobs picked up and used as items bug out

Description of issue
ADDENDUM: This apparently happens when using small player mobs as tools or when a small player mob is placed in a backpack. So. There's that new information.

Transferred from scavstation on Loaf's request:

picking yinglets up makes them permanantly turn when the person who picks them up turns. As in, the ying gets put down, and when the person who picked them up turns, the yinglet turns.

This is very aggravating as it leads to impromptu dances while you're injured and your injuries are being disregarded because it's possible for someone to force you to dance. I guess I've only noticed it when picked up on exoplanets. Also, are yinglets supposed to be retrievable when not on help intent? I've been picked up on harm intent. I don't know if that's supposed to be as easy as a simple click and an aggressive threat has been completely 100% pacified into a squeaky toy. This might be a feature now but that might be a good thing to restore.

Difference between expected and actual behavior

when a ying gets put down, they expect to have a little dignity, not be forced into thriller dances for the captain's amusement.

Steps to reproduce

I don't know if being on the exoplanet is necessary for this to happen, but both times it's happened, it happened on the exoplanet, and it endured to the ship when returning to the ship
Specific information for locating

in the brain of yinglets afflicted with dance fever. Please help
Length of time in which bug has been known to occur

at least a month now, it's happened on one other occasion. but I forgot to report it until now, 2/25/20. It's also only happened with Aura's female captain character, who loves to abuse this oddity.
