USAGE: ./def2bank.sh inputFileName.def moodleCourseName homeworkSetName moodleEngineName serverUrl webworkCourseName > outputFileName.xml

WeBWorK definition files can be exported to a .def format. This BASH script takes these files and translates them for use by the WeBWorK Opaque Server in such a manner that they can be uploaded to a Moodle question bank.

This script borrows from, adds to, takes away from, and roughly translates mgage's work.

Step 1: Create a homework set in a WeBWorK course using the Homework Sets Editor.
Step 2: Add problems to the homework set using the Library Browser.
Step 3: Export the homework set using the Homework Sets Editor.
Step 4: Download the homework set .def file using the File Manager.
Step 5: Run def2bank.sh on the .def file and pipe the output to a new .xml file.
Step 6: Import the .xml file to a Moodle question bank.
