Sorry for the closing/reopening. I thought it fixed itself because it gave me a "Started gitdocs" but I just double checked with gitdocs status and gitdocs start -d and it's still not working.

@paddykontschak Have you had a chance to try the latest pre-release? (v0.5.0pre6) I am curious to know if it fixes you bug.

Finally following up.
Closing this ticket since the code has changed significantly, and I have not been able to re-produce.
We can re-open if that changes.
