citrix-adc-aws-cloudformation's Issues

Using the ha_across_az template fails

Describe the bug

Following the YouTube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgGS0-Q5ODE

How do I "Ensure that I have enough elastic IPs required for the deployment or the script will fail" ? How many do I need? I allocated 2 public EIP in my AWS console and assumed the script would associate them to the management subnet but terraform plan fails with message

Error: Invalid index

on citrix_adc.tf line 31, in resource "aws_instance" "citrix_adc":
31: ami = var.vpx_ami_map[var.aws_region]
|----------------
| var.aws_region is "us-east-1"
| var.vpx_ami_map is tuple with 2 elements

The given key does not identify an element in this collection value: a number
is required.

unable to connect

unable to ping, ssh or open management UI on completion. No errors reported, secgroups checked, pther services built in same VPC setup are working just fine.

Error on Lambda creation

Stack repeatedly fails to proceed beyond the Lambda function creation. Logs show a 401 while pulling a config file.

CFT fails on Lambda HA Function

Describe the bug
The HA-3NIC-ACROSSAZ CFT fails to complete, then rolls back. The error shown is:
"Custom Resource failed to stabilize in expected time. If you are using the Python cfn-response module, you may need to update your Lambda function code so that CloudFormation can attach the updated version."

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Deploy CFT above to a VPC
  2. Wait

Expected behavior
Expected behavior is for the Lambda function to finish creation and set up HA across AZs

What is the respository?

Where are the cloud formation templates and collateral? I feel like I'm missing something here. All I see is testfile.md in subsequent folders...

Netscaler Cloud formation error

Receiving the below error running this template. Same issue occurred with netscaler for HA template.

API: ec2:RunInstances Not authorized for images: [ami-59f5c023]

failed to add ip set on secondary netscaler

I've attempted to run the CF template twice, in two separate AWS accounts, with the same result.

Here's the error i'm encountering:

Failed to create custom resource ConfigureLambda in arn:aws:cloudformation:us-east-1:305261604435:stack/NetScalerVPX-HAPair-MZ/adecbc30-5a74-11e9-89df-0ea1c9c8db82 in response to 58442c69-4176-4460-89d2-60eaebdffd37: FAIL: Could not add IPSET ipset123

Please advise. Thanks.
