stealthmax's Issues

"SGP40" typo

It's a little typo in the BOM/Readme, the air quality sensors is called "SPG40" not "SGP40" 😅

recommended print settings

hey there, great project - thanks!

I am planning to build a stealthmax s..
first (maybe not last.. ;D) question: any recommended print settings?

wall counts?
infill?
etc.. :)

Would printing the parts in PETG be a good idea?

As the title says, I was thinking about printing all parts in PETG, as it's rather cheap and the parts are outside the case.
What would you say? Nevertheless, I do have asa/abs on hand, but as it's 8€/kg vs 20€/kg.. I simply wanted to ask.

F3d corrupt file

The fusion 360 file for some reason is corrupted. When opening the file in fusion it says "the file is corrupted".

My build notes Stealthmax S

Some notes about howto (not) build a Stealthmax S. Maybe it is usefull for you:

IMG_2716
I removed the ribs of the filter with a flush cutter. I had to smothe things to make it fit. It went in with quite a bit of force.

IMG_2724
The intake sensor stack needs to go here. I used the included PIN headers with two spacers to connect the sensors together. You may add the screw prior to soldering.

Don´t use 22AWG (0.32mm²) or thicker wire for the intake sensor. It wont fit through the cutout and it might touch the fan.

IMG_2734
I ordered the wrong plugs. It works without, just soldered everything. Cut the wires longer to be able to assemble it comfortably. After soldering just shuffle the wires into the small pocket.

Dont forget to print the sensor holder for the outlet sensor stack.
Dont forget to print the right DC Connector mod for your setup. https://github.com/nevermore3d/StealthMax/tree/main/STL/Alternate_Options_And_Mods/DC_Connector_Port_Options

L Shaped Flow chamber support adhesion

L Shaped Flow chamber support suffers from poor bed adhesion and is very likely to be clipped by the printer head and just moved around during printing. I found mine on the other side of the print bed and glued it back in place hoping it would work even with a few layers missing.

If instead it is designed with its own skirt, I think it would be much easier to print. It doesn't even have to be symmetric, as long as it has slightly more surface area.

I suppose the same argument applies to the other rectangular support, although it seems to be much more stable.

Suggestion: overal price estimate

It would be nice to have an overal price estimate.
That saves a lot of people the time of having to open up every single affiliate link and counting it up themselves.

SGP40 'Unable write i2c device'

Hi, I'm trying to set up an SGP40 on klipper. (following this)

I'm getting this error: Unable write i2c device
I also can't find it with a sudo i2cdetect (raspberry pi), but I know it's working because I'm able to get reading from it running some example scripts

my config: (the HTU21D is working fine, the error happens just when I uncomment the SGP40 config section)

[temperature_sensor tvoc_temp_humidity]
sensor_type: HTU21D
i2c_address: 64
i2c_mcu: rpi
i2c_bus: i2c.3
i2c_speed: 400000
htu21d_resolution: TEMP14_HUM12
htu21d_report_time: 5

[sgp40]

[temperature_sensor tvoc_sensor]
sensor_type: SGP40
i2c_mcu: rpi
i2c_bus: i2c.0
i2c_speed: 400000
ref_temp_sensor: htu21d tvoc_temp_humidity
ref_humidity_sensor: htu21d tvoc_temp_humidity

Any advice would be appreciated.

StealthMax S - missing part

Hello, where did the missing part for mounting VOC go?
Weird-shaped 3 part, really tiny it clicked into Main_Chamber middle.

Which parts to print?

Hello there,

i want to print the StealthMax but i am not sure which parts to print neither if the offered parts in the .3mf are complete .
A list of parts which needed to be printed would be awesome.

Greetings
Fabian

Easy to print Carbon Basket?

So the Carbon Baselt is not that easy to print and needs huge time due to this.
For Silica gel I had used this print Silica Gel Box
grafik

It is really stable - I think this kind of structure could be also an option for the basket to improve the print time alot (inside and outside) vs the current comb Structure due to it is still a straight line.
Unfortunately I'm not able to draw this in CAD but maybe somebody here is a good CAD guy...

Thank you for the Awesome work!!
I'm currently still in the printing procedure but this is really awesome.
