Normally, I followed the recommendations when I started my nextcloud (in version 24).

If there's a change in database requirements, it's an upstream matter at NC Server (or perhaps in the NC Admin Manual if the ones listed there are no longer accurate) not in the Docker image. But to my knowledge there hasn't been a change since ~NC24 (the public schema grants did change somewhere around there for newer postgresql versions).

Might be worth checking the output of \dn+ (IIRC) to check the public schema access privileges (though now they'll obviously be different since you did the grant). The default is "none" for public, but "create" is required. Is it possible your db environment wasn't setup up fully according to the manual?

Closing out this issue since I don't think there's anything actionable for us to do here, but glad to hear you figured out a resolution that worked for you.
