Exercise Solutions to R for Data Science - second edition

Inspired from the original unofficial Solutions to R4DS, this is a Quarto book for exercise solutions to R for Data Science - second edition as part of the NHS-R Community book club.

Contribution

This is an NHS-R Community project that is open for anyone to contribute to in any way that they are able. The project is released with a Contributor Code of Conduct. By contributing to this project, you agree to abide by its terms.

If you want to learn more about this project, please join the discussion at the NHS-R Community Slack group and the specific channel #r4ds.

The simplest way to contribute is to raise an issue detailing the feature or functionality you would like to see added, or any unexpected behaviour or bugs you have experienced.

{renv}

If you fork this repository to make changes that you wish to contribute via a pull request, just to help this repository uses {renv} and you will be prompted to use renv::restore() to restore the project library. This will ensure that your project has the same packages and versions as the contributors and this, in turn, helps to ensure that the GitHub Actions are stable to render the book automatically for when the merge request is accepted.

Contributions of solutions to the ebook [Question]

Hi,

It seems that one of the authors of the R4DS book, Mine is also creating a solution manual
https://mine-cetinkaya-rundel.github.io/r4ds-solutions/data-visualize.html

May I ask if there is any intention to further update the book ? Does the team still welcome solutions contributed from external parties ?

List out chapters for solutions

Following R4DS layout https://github.com/hadley/r4ds/blob/main/_quarto.yml put in chapters for the book in preparation for people to contribute to exercises.

For the quarto sections use videos for answers

The quarto section exercises look to be very visual and so recordings may need to be linked to.
