Design directory structure

• Need to send back the client a prompt which has his home as working directory.

• Should not be able to cd back to parent directory.

• Figure out way to set and save permissions for users. When client creates a file, it should be created in his name.

Server shutdowns if a client executes logout

Make server running forever, even if there are no active clients.

File transfer

• Client and server should create threads to handle file transfer (GET and POST in document).

• Check if the same IP as client is accessing the new port.

• Stale process timeout ? Not if it is currently running. If multiple downloads are implemented, each download uses new thread.

try again if we get EAGAIN as error code.

We need to check for error codes if some system call fails and if it is EAGAIN, we should try again.

Conf file parser

Should parse conf file to fill in global variables of the server. (User, passwords, commands)

Implement command: ls -l and ping hostname
