homeassistant-config's Introduction

Home-Assistant-Config

About

This is my Home Assistant configuration inspired by Frenck's methodology of having each file doing only one thing.

I chose this methodology because I like the way how the integrations are organized. I don't have to spend time looking through long files to find what I'm looking for. To add or to remove an integration is as easy as creating or removing a file.

Tips

If you haven't already, please take the time to read The Perfect Home Automation.

homeassistant-config's Issues

Bathroom Humidity

Now that I have multiple temperature and humidity sensors on the first floor I should be able to manage the bathroom ventilation and mirror heating based on the difference between rooms instead of absolute value.

Short press/long press of the power

Not sure if I can tweak this. It appears the push down on power is triggering the short press for power, instead of on a quick button up. Because of this, I cannot get the long press to work on its own. This means no matter what I have to press and hold which triggers the short press, and then a bit later the long press. I only want the long press to get triggered.

5 button color light not working

Heya, I just re-synced my remote control and color IKEA light to HA. And the "ZHA - IKEA TRADFRI - 5 Button Remote - Color Lights" blueprint wont change colors when I use the buttons. Am I doing something wrong? On and Off and dimming works fine!

Living room Bright = Circadian lighting Off

When Google Home is asked to set the living room lights to the bright settings, the circadian lighting changes them back. The command to Google Home should be configured to first turn off the circadian lighting, then set the brightness and colour. Circadian Lighting can be turned back on as soon as the light is turned off (resets for next time).
