lte-gtp-simulator's Issues

running the sample commands: Mandatory argument 'iftype' is missing

Hi,
Thank you for the project.
After the installation, I tried the given sample command:
./build/gsim --node=mme --scenario=scenario/mme_s11.xml
And I received:
Mandatory argument 'iftype' is missing
I did not make any changes, It seems sample commands do not work by themselves. What is wrong?

Problems with installing

This seems like a useful tool for testing. However, I am a n00b with cmake and its errors. I have followed the instruction to install, and cmake .. command though runs successfully with no errors (says build files have been written to: /home/mysurname/LTE-GTP-Simulator/build), does not create any gsim folder.

Because of this, I get "No such file or directory" error when I run ./build/gsim --node=mme --scenario=scenario/mme_s11.xml for example.

I am on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. Any help would be appreciated.

GTPU Traffic Generator

Hi,

Please is it possible to use this project for GTPU traffic generator?

Want to use it simulate gtpu towards a 5G UPF. What will be the procedure to initiate this?

Command line options trace-msg not implemented

--trace-msg option is used to enable dumping of GTPv-2 messages into a log file. The default file name shall be gsim.log, pid is the process id of gsim process. The log file name can be changed by using the option --trace-msg-file

dead call wait time

if a session is created by create session request, and the scenario does not have delete session request and response to delete the session, the session will be hanging for ever. the session is considered as dead session, and sim shall wait for default of 60 seconds before terminating the session

The dead session wait time, shall be a command line option, default value = 60 seconds

Is there any simulation code for GTPv1

Also, if I want to send a specific message, such as Create PDP Context Request
How should I do.. Because I found gsim command will generate a full-flow, but I want to investigate into every pieces of packet / request / response..
