Checker Board

Program that prints a checkerboard based on the size indicated by the user. On this board, the black spaces will be represented with 'X' and the white spaces will be represented with ' '.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

To be able to run the program, you need to have installed: ruby-2.4.1

To install it, you can review different options here

Installing & Running the Program

Clone the repo in your terminal:

$ git clone https://github.com/nmcolome/checker_board.git

Navigate into the project and run the file:

$ cd checker_board/lib
$ ruby checker_board.rb

The program should prompt you for a number:

Enter the size of the board (>0): >

And example of the output for a size 6 board would look like this:

X X X  
 X X X  
X X X  
 X X X  
X X X  
 X X X

Running tests

Navigate into the test file: $ cd test

Run the Minitest tests by: $ ruby checker_board_test.rb
