What's this about?

You know all those weird autogenerated spammy sites that always pop up in search results, with such amazing titles as "FREE prize sex hot stud bangs busty Finnish Healthcare Clinics for sale"?

This list aims to collect as many of them as possible, by searching for specific word combinations found almost solely on this kind of sites. It's mainly thought to be used with search results filtering tools such as Search Engine Spam Blocker (developed by the same people behind this list and available for Firefox), Google Hit Hider or uBlacklist.

I'm curious if these sources are pulled from other lists, built automatically by some web scanner, etc.

Scam/phishing URL

Thanks for maintaining SESB! It's a super neat tool!

I found a bunch of fake online store for the non-existing French branch of the Keen shoes brand. I've reported them to the original brand, search engines and phishing lists. An older relative nearly got scammed by those because they rank pretty high in the search result list, so it'd be nice if they were hidden altogether.

Does not work with uBlacklist

The list does not work with the uBlacklist extension. However, adding match syntax like in https://github.com/elliotwutingfeng/Search-Engine-Spam-Blocklist/blob/master/blocklist_ubl.txt works.

Perhaps add a variant of the list with uBlacklist syntax?

Hello,

aaoth.xyz is a part of Yggdrasil network. It is listed as a public peer in https://github.com/yggdrasil-network/public-peers/blob/master/europe/netherlands.md. I visited aaoth.xyz and it does not seem to be spam, but a small personal homepage.

(I am not the operator of this node or domain, only a participant in the Yggdrasil network)
