I was trying to watch a stream today, and the video was black, but I could hear it, and I could also see it if I turned on picture in picture. After some experimentation, I discovered that this extension was causing a black web element to cover the entire video. Disabling or hiding the extension fixed the problem. I suspect that twitch may have made some sort of change that broke this extension, because I haven't had a problem with it before.
However, I did just update chrome, also. I'm using Chrome Version 89.0.4389.90 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10 20H2. I also have bttv and ffz extensions installed in chrome.
Is there a way to update the buttons programmatically, say, through an API?
From what I can gather via the README, the backend is no longer used (I assume thanks to the new twitch extension datastore?) - can 3rd party apps interact with that by any chance?
Thanks!
I already followed channel but this button does not disappear for me. I can temporary disable plugin but after reloading this large button still annoys me. why?
