ccs_config_noresm's Issues

Add NorESM input data server

Add http://noresm.org/inputdata as a primary (i.e., before CESM) inputdata server.
The entry should be:

  <server>
    <protocol>wget</protocol>
    <address>https://www.noresm.org/inputdata</address>
  </server>

This would restore the functionality from recent tags such as cime5.6.10_cesm2_1_rel_06-Nor_v1.06.

Issues with modelgrid_aliases_nuopc.xml

There are grids in modelgrid_aliases_nuopc.xml that appear to be incompatible with BLOM but are not marked as such.

TL319_g17_wg17
T62_g17
f19_g17_wg17
ne60_g17
ne120_g17
ne0ARCTICne30x4_g17_mg17 (why is this not POP?)
f19_g17_rx1
ne30_g17_rx1

Also, it looks like there are some duplicate entries:

f19_tn14_wtn14
TL319_g17

Finally, there are some commented-out grid aliases. Do they need to be there?

Saga configs

Saga is back online.

  • Install ESMF8.4.1-intel-2021b-ParallelIO-2.5.10
  • Update config_machines
  • Check CMAKE configs on saga.
  • Build cprnc on fram and saga and link it in the config_machines

OpenMPI lustre support

Commenting out these variables in config_machines:
OMPI_MCA_fs_lustre_stripe_size
OMPI_MCA_fs_lustre_stripe_width

gets rid of the cesm.exe: setstripe error for 'pio_rest_debug_ompi.cpl.r.0001-03-01-00000.nc': stripe already set
problem. Stripes used to get set per node
