The convenience of the x86 installer is in the fact that it just works on all three major Win platforms (x64, x86, arm64).

Although I could prepare a PR for the x64 N++ NSIS installer to be x64 native binary as well, I do not think it will be accepted until MS definitively removes the x86 WOW64 emulator from the standard Windows editions.

And BTW - last time I checked the NSIS team still does not officially support the x64 binary output (explanation), even if it can be done with the help of the Target AMD64-Unicode and this fork.

The time would be better spent on a first-party MSI installer.

Not me, MSI/MSIX is not my taste (yes, I know about its advantages over the NSIS).
I saw that requests for the MSI some time ago and what surprised me is that out of so many users asking for it, not one of them came up with a working solution/PR.
