glabs's Issues

Specifying a non-existing course name does not lead to an error message

Just a minor issue - but since it took me a while to find out what was going wrong, still reported here: Currently, specifying a course that does not exist does not lead to an error message:

$ ./glabs.sh check somecoursethatdoesnotexist
6:31AM | DEBUG | D:/Hochschule/Lehrveranstaltungen/Netzwerke 1/Uebung_WS2021/gitlab/glabs/gitlab/gitlab.go:14 > connecting to gitlab server gitlab.host=https://gitlab.lrz.de/
 > checking usernames config of somecoursethatdoesnotexist
 >> checking students
 >> checking students in groups
 >>> checking duplicates in groups

Instead, terminating with an error message complaining that "somecoursethatdoesnotexist" does not exist, would be helpful. (Thought that I had a problem in my groups listing, instead I had a typo in the group name... ;-) )

Better output

logging only when debugging. Everything else should be nice output like in glabs check

Check assignment

glabs check algdati

should check students, groups, ...

glabs check algdati blatt1

should check the assignment blatt1 including groups or students

add template var for repos

should do:

git clone --depth 0 ...
git commit --amend -m <initial commit message>

also var for initialCommitMessage with default to Initial commit

Stop on unknown key

I had put startercod in the .yml which resulted in empty repositories. Would
it make sense to stop with an error if an unknwon key ist encountered?

Active / inactive repositories

It would be useful to have a way to list / filter active repositories, i.e., repositories that contain commits made by the students.

Use-case: there are n student groups for which a repo is generated. Some student teams stopped working on the course but did not signal this. So only repositories with at least one commit (for empty repos) or more commits than in the startercode could be listed or cloned.
