Configuration crashes when BackupSettings is installed

I'm using MP1.1 with Subcentral 1.0

When HuHA backupsettings is installed then the config. screen of Subcentral is 
not acceesable. (windows crash)

Backupsetting are installed in "otherplugins"

Searched a long time to find what it was.....

"Go back to originating plugin" feature behaves badly

"Go back to originating plugin" does not work as expected.

1. When the subtitle has been downloaded, "Subtitles downloaded" message pops 
up as expected.

2. When Enter is pressed, the popup goes away and we go automatically to the 
calling plugin as expected.

3. BUT, here "Subtitles downloaded" message appears again and if we press Enter 
we go to Home screen!

This also happens if Enter is not pressed in any step, e.g. we just wait after 
the subtitles have been downloaded and we end up in home screen after seeing 
the "Subtitles downloaded" message disappearing twice because of the timeouts.

Confirmed with DefaultWide skin and Maya

Add about/usage text

On main screen of SubCentral.. Property #SubCentral.About should be filled
with basic description of the plugin, how to use it, and perhaps some other
things..

Property should be visible in textbox or textboxscrollup in the skin so new
lines and nice formatting is required..

Use proper button text on notify dialog(s)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download a subtitle
2. Watch the popup box (see screenshot)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I think the prefered word on that box would be 'OK' instead of 'CANCEL' (STOP 
is the Dutch translation of it)

Invalid error message when searching MovieSubtitles in TVSeries

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Perform search in TVSeries using MovieSubtitles -provider

Expected:

Error message saying that "Site does not support Series/Episode search"

Actual:

Error message saying that "Site does not support IMDB ID search" (which is 
actually just the one MovieSubtitles supports)

Update screenshots

Screenshots should be updated since we don't have "Check for subtitles" in menu 
but instead a "Check for subtitles" button in movie details view.

Current screenshots may confuse new users.

Two popup messages if subtitles are not downloaded

In SubtitleDownloader 2.6 a new API is used for S4U.se site.

Searching this provider with language "Swedish", using IMDB ID tt0096895 you 
get a search result "Batman.1989.1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264.dxva-HDC".

However when downloading, only JPG file is returned by the site and there are 
no subtitle files in the ZIP archive.

SubCentral pops up message "No subtitles downloaded!" when trying to download 
this. When this message is closed, another message pops up: "All (0) subtitles 
downloaded". 

IMO only first message should be shown.

Download folder and interaction

A couple of suggestions:

- If the plugin has only 1 folder to download to, the "select download folder" 
menu seems redundant, is it possible to make the plugin automagically use the 
folder specified without interaction ? 

- Could you make the plugin exit after a subtitle has been downloaded, or add 
this as an option in the configuration...."Exit on download".

German language file

Hey Guys,

I was curious what is going with your project and downloaded all the files from 
your trunk. As I don't have any experience in programming/compiling and all 
that stuff I didn't know what to do to get it running.

But I saw that you don't have a german language file yet. So did some 
translating. You can see the result attached.

As mentioned before I am not able to test it. So please give me a hint how to 
do so or someone else could have a look at it.

Manual/automatic download in Configuration

We could implement manual (and probably automatical) downloading of subtitles 
in configuration.

This would work similar than currently in TVSeries configuration.

For any supported plugin, we could ask all items (series+episodes or movies) 
with required details and show them as tree view or similar.

Stop instead (or in addition) to cancel

Let's say I search in all 9 suppliers.
I would like to be able to stop search after SubCentral gets enough results, 
and see those results.
Now the "Cancel" button returns to search screen and does not show results so 
far.

Search results order is not optimal

Search results ordering for this particular case doesn't seem to be optimal, 
expected result is that highlighted results should be first?

Progress bar not showing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select "all providers" with a search
2. then you see the progress indicator
3. go back  and do  a new search
4. then no  progress indicator is visible.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Error when searching for a serie & episode which was just imported

When looking into another issue, I ran into this:

As a test data I inserted a dummy episode file to my import path 
(The.Big.Bang.Theory.S04E23.HDTV.XviD-FQM.avi which really is an empty file). 
Then I started and MP and opened TVSeries, waited for the new serie and episode 
to be imported.

After serie and episode appeared I tried to search subtitle for the episode 
using Bierdopje and Dutch language. I got the following error:

22-May-2011 22:05:50.654 Error [           Retriever]: Error while querying 
site Bierdopje
 System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
   at Bierdopje.API.HTTPHelper.GetHTTPResponse(String url)
   at Bierdopje.API.ApiLibrary.GetXMLApiResonse(String command, String[] parameters)
   at Bierdopje.API.ApiLibrary.FindShowByName(String name)

I restarted MP and re-tried, and everything was fine. My suspicion is that show 
name was null for some reason. I can also reproduce this 100%.

Subtitle download not asynchronous

It seems that downloading a subtitle is not an asynchronous operation.

Podnapisi was quite slow for me for the past weekend and subtitle downloading 
takes 5-10 seconds. For this time the UI freezes and the progress bar does not 
animate.

Enable absolute numbering of TV shows

Quote from forum (samo_yea):

MP-TVSeries automatically retrieve the season-episode number that is the 
equivalent of the absolute number. The problem is that when I search for 
subtitles with SubCentral, the subtitle query use season and episode number 
retieved by MP-TVSeries.

Example:
My file is: Naruto Shippuuden - 185.mkv (Absolute Episode=185)
The subtitle is: Naruto Shippuuden - 185.srt (Absolute Episode=185)

When importing the file in MP-TVSeries, it associate the absolute number with 
season=9, episode=10 so SubCentral search for season=9, episode=10, but the 
subtitle downloader can't find the subtitle, because on the site the episode 
number is 185.

The absolute number is available in MP-TVSeries in the table 
online_episodes.absolute_number).

Brazilian subtitles provider - TheSubDB

Can you add a new subtitle provider for Brazilian subtitles? There is one site 
called http://thesubdb.com that is a good source of pt-br (SubDB support other 
languages too) subtitles for new shows and movies.

SubDB has a simple API, based on file hash. The documentation can be found at 
http://thesubdb.com/api

If you won't plan to add another provider soon, can you give me some directions 
to do it myself?

Persist list of already downloaded subtitles

Quote from forum (gibman):

Nice future feature would be for the list of retrieved subs to be marked as 
"has downloaded before" for those subtitles that have been downloaded before.
This is useful when continually looking for subtitles that match the video.
Maybe even have the old result set accessible?

It might be possible if provider has an unique identifier for sub. Gotta look 
into it.

I would love to see the icons for resolution and file extension there, because 
I would make my choice of the subtitle based on this info.

Implement better mapping between subtitle and media files when downloading

Sometimes the download archive has subtitle for more than one release.
For example:
The site www.legendas.tv from Brazil very often offers the download of RAR 
files containing subtitles for several different releases of the same 
movie/episode. In the current implementation, this would cause the error: 
"Media files count differs from subtitle files count. Wrong subtitles?".

Then, based on the existing code, I created a patch to allow the user to select 
the desired subtitle file from a dialog.

I think this patch can be useful for other subtitle sources.

Retriever refactoring is required to implement automatic downloading

To implement automatic downloading so that we can use existing code the 
Retriever class needs to be refactored.

Currently the searching and downloading logic is tied too much to GUI stuff, I 
think same goes for sorting (by tags) which we probably need in automatic 
downloading.

Download before playback for MP-TVSeries

In MP-TVSeries it was possible to search for subtitles before playback (if 
episode is missing subtitles).

Need to add this feature to SubCentral. MP-TVSeries might require some changes 
too.

Newly added provider, does not appear when editing previously defined group

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open settings
2. Create a temporary group of providers
3. Close settings
4. Add new provider (new dll file)
5. Open settings
6. Edit temporary group to add new provider

Expected result: 
New provider is available in list

Actual result: 
New provider is not available.

Workaround:
Create a new group, and there the new provider is available.

Skin: missing thumbs

in GUIUtils.cs there is a reference to  SubtitlesLogoThumbPath = 
GUIGraphicsContext.Skin + "\\Media\\Logos\\subtitles.png"

But these are not in the skin files.

Minor bug i guess..:)
