Unexpected end of JSON input

It seems TikTok has changed their /aweme/v1/feed endpoint on all API URLs. Using curl to request the data responses with an empty response and a 200 OK status.

This has also become an issue in yt-dlp as well.

Support for short urls

Add support for vm.tiktok.com links.

Direct embeds seem to be broken?

When using a direct embed d.tnktok, the video will not be shown. Hitting play will cause the video to infinitely load.

I'm unsure what could cause this. Regular embeds work fine, and it doesn't seem like any tiktok downloaders are having issues.

API change

Tiktok changed their API; imputnet/cobalt#497

This is causing "Unexpected end of JSON input" errors with fxTikTok. This happened previously with #6 during the last API change.

Doesn't embed, domain for sale?

Doesn't embed and the link will say the domain is for sale

Support multiple images and sound in slideshows

Title says it. Currently, when you try to send a slideshow, it only shows the first image and has no sound.
As per solutions, I thought about using something like ffmpeg to make a slideshow out of it and embed the sound.
If that's not feasible we could also just embed all images like ddinstagram does it and ignore the sound

`getVideoInfo` request is failing

What's the issue?

I just started using this service the other week & it's been super helpful, but today I noticed that links were failing to render correctly in Discord

❌ Unexpected end of JSON input
An error occurred while trying to fetch the video. Please try again later.

After a quick clone & local test this request seems to be returning OK but is failing to decode the JSON payload.
This is of course likely an upstream issue but I thought I would report it in case you were aware of any possible fixes or work around since I don't know the TikTok API at all.

New short urls

#1 here, but now I see people sharing around with vt subdomain stead of the vm.
I tried to change the vt links to the vm subdomain and it works!
