Development process

• Local Development
  • Disable production version of TextMode if enabled from the Chrome Store
  • Edit files locally
  • Update version # in 'manifest.json'
• Local QA
  • Visit locally 'chrome://extensions/'
  • Turn on Developer mode on the top right
  • Click Load unpacked extension
  • Select the 'chrome-extension' dev folder
  • Reload extension with every code update via 'Reload (⌘R)'
• Publish to Chrome Store
  • ZIP the 'chrome-extension' folder

text-mode's Issues

feature-request: block html5 video autoplay

HTML5 embedded videos still autoplay. Although the extension blocks flash based & non-html videos (which are deprecated & never used), Internet is mostly filled with HTML5 embedded videos. For ex, news articles literally play pop-up videos.

Feature request: Less contrasted colors

Hi, nice plugin.

My only want is to either have control over the colors or have it play ball with other plugins (I use Dark Reader).

During day time I'm fine even if I usually have less contrasting colors, night time it doesn't work as well in a dark environment.

I think pictures will say more than a textual description.
