Stupid questions, but - is this WIP or full-feature?
So far, in Android app, I can see a map, in debug in Android Studio I can see that user is logged on pokémon site,
but I see only map, no Pokémon icons.

Not an Android dev so I can only ask. Is the wearable apk also being dev'ed for this by anyone? If not, I've never made an android app (Rails dev), but could take a swing at adding on wearable apk functionality?
The NOTE at Settings should also be displayed at login.
I know it's early into it, but if we could have an option to save login details it would make it much easier debug and test the app

Today I noticed that as soon as I rotate my screen the application reloads the map getting my position and showing the toast notification "Found you".

It would be convenient for non-developers to have access to an apk. Perhaps in line with updates to the master branch, release an apk.
If you enter credentials and they are incorrect, there is no way to change them unless you uninstall and reinstall the application.
I could try to recreate functionality from main repo but i'm not familliar with "Py". can somebody tell me where to search for the code, which is grabing pokemons list?

Application is crashing, response object is null. Check at line 150 in MainActivity.java.
I have a working login put into the token section, and I un-commented the getPokemon function, but still no pokemon are appearing on the map. Not sure where to go from here.
Abstract the ugly ass nested http requests and redirect interception to manager that handles this and all other network calls
I've entered my Google account, says the login is invalid - later I found out that I should test with a Trainer account.
I did so, reentering my login details in settings. After pressing re-login, nothing happens; it does show my location properly though.

I'm getting the above error on the dev branch. Not sure if it is just me or not. Anyways anyone have any ideas how to fix it. Both build.gradle files are unedited from the dev branch.

Installed the app-debug.apk to mobile with Android 6.0.1.
Used a newly created PTC account. The new account data works fine with main python-flask code.
But I am not able to see anything on map. I have checked show pokestop and gym also.
Only seeing my location as blue dot in map. How to check if there is any problem ?

i'm looking for change the radius of the pokemon scan but i don't find the localisation , i see we can change the radius of the views MapWrapperFragment but nothing in controllers or model (or i'm looking for in wrong localisation ^^)
APKs can be built using Travis when users merge pull requests.
How about changing API version to lowest one?
If it's only about material design button and so on, it'll be more useful to bring this app for more people. (for example me with friends have Lollipop androids, and we are not the one with this 'old' version, I think)

Why don't we provide a link to a pre-compiled apk (or include it in the repo)? I feel like it would reduce a lot of questions/issues being opened in the future.
Shouldn't have PokemonOuterClass.java hard coded. Should be generated from same .proto file as https://github.com/AHAAAAAAA/PokemonGo-Map
Currently, it appears this app only support Pokemon Trainer accounts.
If possible, add support to use the local gmail accounts that the user has already provided to android system, and provide them as an oauth credentials
it would be nice if you could write a short guide on how to actually build the apk

The pokegoAPI-Java is not built for android in the sense of being aware to not make web calls on the main thread. This will need to be placed in a background service exector service, or thread, or some other mechanism.
Hi, im working in something that you guys are doing, but you are tons of hours ahead and my questions are, are you planning on publish it to Google Play Store? which funcionalities are you planning to code?
Build basic object models for Pokemon, gyms, etc.
Example models exist in the main Python repo, all we have to do is translate them to Java.

i downloaded the latest apk installed it but i only see maps no pokemon
In its current state whenever the app is loaded it works great, but if you throw it to the background and return it to the foreground it no longer tracks or updates when long pressing in an area.

I'm curious, as I like to know the "5 W's & H", or at least most of them of most things. If it's OK, I have a few questions about this I don't see fully answered here.
So I have to ask, any reason why it has to be the unstable 2.2 version which is, as I just found out, tedious to find direct download link on. I found it, here btw, it was just a little annoying to find, and I'm not to fond, as I've been rubbed the wrong way with other IDE's, of using "preview" or "beta" versions of IDE's.
Are you aware of why it can't work in public, official release version 2.1?
What alternatives could be made using 2.1 as opposed to 2.2?
How might one apply such alternatives?
Will there be a prepacked build of this apk released or is it intended as self build only?
And, as you may have guessed, I'm a bit new to Android coding, I'd like to know the quick and ugly summary of how one might be able to check that there's no "underhanded" code in this before building and using? In other words, and I'll google this more later and see what I find, however I find it never hurts to ask in places like this, what areas (directories/files) can I look at to see if the original builder, or append builder added something like a keylogger or other such "evil purpose"?
Oh and one last thought, any chance this might receive some support with self-answered Q&A's (from current builders and users of course) on a Stack Exchange channel such as stackoverflow.com? With that in mind, do any of the Authors on this project have SE accounts and have they considered watching such sites for further questions which may help provide better future documentation?
