Extension marked as unsafe in Chrome Webstore

Today Edge let me know that it disabled the extension because it "contains malware", with a learn more link that sent me to my extensions page where it showed Ugly Email disabled, with this message in red:

"This extension has been turned off as it's been marked unsafe by the Chrome Web Store."

The extension is still visible and installable on the Chrome Webstore, so I'm really curious what's going on here. I don't see anything indicating it's been marked unsafe.

Block more trackers

I think blocking email trackers is a public service so I'm sharing the list of over 100 trackers blocked by Simplify Gmail with you in case it is useful:

Isolated a bug in gmail with Ugly Email extension

I have isolated a bug with the Ugly Email chrome extension. I'm pretty sure this is the right repo for it?

Circumstance:
In gmail, when I'm forwarding or replying to certain emails, as I'm drafting my reply, gmail reports a connection error:
"Oops... the system encountered a problem (#2013). Retrying..."
If I try to Send the email I'm drafting, Gmail says it couldn't be sent.
The draft email cannot be saved or sent.
The only remedy is to (copy the text I'm drafting first, and) refresh the chrome tab and start over.

I painstakingly tested many permutations over 2 days to isolate the cause. It's clearly caused by UglyEmail; but it only happens on certain emails. I can't discern WHICH emails, or what is their characteristic... but I can easily reproduce this now, and I do have a particular email candidate for testing that produces the error every time.

I don't know how to get MY email to you for testing -- If I forward the email (with UglyEmail disabled!), then the forwarded message no longer causes the error. So that's not feasible.

I could do a couple of things:

1. I could "view original" on the broken email and send you the raw content
2. I could tell you how to recreate the broken email on your own.

Safari Support

I've read a lot about Ugly Email and I would love to try it, but I prefer to use Safari on MacOS. Have you or would you consider adding Safari to the supported browsers?

Not Working On Microsoft Edge & Chrome - Chromium Broswer

Issue - Microsoft Edge Allows Downloads From Chrome Webstore.
Issue 2 - Not Working On Chrome Doesn't do anything. I tryed Reinstalling it. But, Doesn't work.
So its not working.

Removed from Chrome Web Store as malware?

I've just been told by Edge that Ugly Email has been identified as malware and "has been turned off as it's been marked unsafe by the Chrome Web Store." It doesn't appear to be available in the Web Store at this time. What's up?

Limit website data access [Firefox]

Hi Sonny,

The Firefox extension asks permission to Access your data for all websites. However, the Chrome extension only requires data for mail.google.com and googleusercontent.com.

Could the firefox.json manifest be modified so that data access is only requested for those two domains? Would you expect the extension to still work ok?

Add an option to hide the icon

I have a minor feature request: it would be lovely to have an option to not show the eyeball icon next to emails in the inbox. The main thing I care about is that tracking is blocked, not knowing which emails tried to track me. Furthermore, at least on my computer, the icons are rendered after an asynchronous delay of about 1 second, which means half of my email subject lines move over to the right in the middle of my trying to read them---quite annoying.

I can likely work around the problem by adding a rule to my adblocker.
