Of course, for trees that were already "partnered up" (e.g. linn soc) this would not apply.

We probably need to code this up in a separate table which maps partner identifiers to OTTs. On popping up the sponsorship tab, we can then map all OTTs in this table to ordered nodes (or, I guess, leaves) and find the leaf_lft and leaf_rgt ids using a join. We can then check if (a) if it is a leaf sponsorship, does it lie within any of the ranges, or (b) if it is a node sponsorship, do the leaf_lft and leaf_rgt ids of the node lie jointly within any of the ranges.

We do now actually have a partner_taxa table to implement this, but I'm not sure anything actually uses it yet which is partly integrated into default.py here:

TO DO & CHECK - Allows specific parts of the tree to be associated with a partner
. @jrosindell and I agreed that this would be useful functionality to add as part of an advertising/publicity drive later this year.
