Split up current OC svn repo, convert to git, push to github

Our current repository http://trac.opencoin.org/trac/opencoin/browser contains various stages, rewrites and experiments of our OpenCoin proof-of-concepts.

It should be split up into several senseable units, like "python-opencoin1", "python-opencoin2", "opencoin-standards" etc. Those which are considered to be of (historic) interest should then be converted into git repositories and pushed to github.

Create new repo "oc-standards" with protocol draft. Document pull-requests.

Clean up OC homepage

The homepage was not reflecting the current status of the opencoin development. I edited it, and it should be more appropriate.

Joerg: please check the homepage is OK for you, then close.

Find a nice skin/theme for the OC plone

This is low-prio, this is only a post-it.

A lean and simple (for non-logged-in users) would be great.

Terminate old dev server

Now we moved to GitHub ( #2 ) i want to terminate our old svn and trac server "dev.opencoin.org".

Luckily the trac was only serving the svn tree and did not contain any wiki ages or tickets. I have now shutdown and archived svnserve, trac and the ldap authentication backend.

But this VM is still the frontend for the opencoin.org plone. Once that is changed, we can terminate dev,opencoin.org.

Split the protocol from opencoin.js into a separate repo

Use some other VM as http frontend for the OC plone and change DNS record accordingly

I want to terminate dev.opencoin.org (see #5) , but it is currently the frontend for the opencoin.org plone on ct-plone1.copycan.net. Joerg, i guess you already run a number of plone frontends, can we use one of those? Or shall i quickly setup a nginx on ct-plone1.copycan.net ?

Reorganise mailing lists

are mainly dormant. And they are too many.

My plan is to create two mailings lists opencoin-announce and opencoin-discuss and move everyone there and deleting all the other mailing list with the exception of opencoin-team for the core team to coordinate.

The idea is that while people might unsubscribe from or filter opencoin-discuss, they keep reading low-traffic opencoin-announce.
