Yes the project uses QT5, unfortunately there are no Ubuntu users developing for OpenTrack just now so that hasn't come up, it's a standard package for Fedora 19 (which I use, although F19 is now out of date), which release of Ubuntu are you using?

If there's really no Ubuntu package for Qt5, you can always fall back to using a generic Qt installer that works on any Linux distribution.

I just installed qt5-default and qt5-doc, available from the apt-get repositories.
