Installer for OOD / SGCI demo

SGCI OOD Image

As an SGCI affiliate we have an image stored on SGCI's OpenStack host with UTexas.

Installation

Follow the general directions

Create an OpenStack instance as described in howto-setup-on-sgci.pdf with the following properties:

• Flavor: m1.small
• Instance Name: ood
• Instance Boot Source: Boot from image
• Image Name: CentOS 7

Ensure that there is a security group that permits access on ports 80 and 22.

Install Open OnDemand and Slurm

Run ./installer.sh and it will take care of the rest.

Use OOD

Using a web browser navigate to your public IP address, and sign into the OnDemand instance using the user name ood and password ood.

sgci-ood-image's Issues

Ensure that Slurm / Apache are set to start on machine boot

"You are not authorized for any projects."

When I log in at https://rodeo.tacc.utexas.edu/dashboard/auth/login/ with the account I created, and the domain SGCI, I get this error:

"You are not authorized for any projects."

I'm trying to follow the demo instructions at https://github.com/OSC/sgci-ood-image/blob/master/how_to_setup_ood_on_sgci_with_the_image/index.md .

Update to point to latest OnDemand
