I'm not sure whether I'm missing something really obvious, but I get this error when I try to make a new file with this Automator workflow.

I actually get the same error when trying to make the same thing myself using the accepted answer here.

Can't create new file unless folder/file is selected

An easy way to uninstall

Hello Oscar,

You script is interesting but here is the easy way to uninstall item from "Services" menu.

Open a Finder window, press Cmd + Shift + G and type : /users/username/Library/Services
Then click "Go".

In the folder you'll find the ".wrokflow" file corresponding to the Service menu item.
Just delete it.

Error when right clicking a file > New File

Duplicate actions

Hi there,

Thanks for the awesome script! :) I ran this twice on the install, and ended up getting two copies of the option in the drop-down menu (screenshot attached). Do you know how to delete one of them?
