Library Project is an open-source project that demonstrates a simple library management system, focusing on book operations. It's implemented with Kotlin, Spring Boot, and uses PostgreSQL as its database.

Features

  • CRUD operations for books:

    • List all books
    • Get a book by its ID
    • Add a new book
    • Update an existing book
    • Delete a book
  • API Documentation using Swagger UI.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • JDK 1.8 or higher
  • Docker (for PostgreSQL setup)

Setting up the Project

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone [email protected]:keskinbu/testing-demo.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory and start the database using Docker:

    cd testing-demo
    docker-compose up
  3. Run the Spring Boot application:

    ./gradlew bootRun
  4. Access the application: Open a browser and navigate to http://localhost:8080/swagger-ui/ to see the API documentation and try out the endpoints.
