Gala Window Switcher For elementaryOS

This is an alternative to the stock libplank window switcher. This is a fork of "Gala Window Manager Alternative Window Switcher" project:

Install

build from sources:

$ mkdir build
$ cd build
$ cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr ..
$ make
$ sudo make install

or via ppa:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:popye/eos-window-switcher
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gala-eos-window-switcher

Switcher settings location:

/org/pantheon/desktop/gala/plugins/elementary-alt-tab/

Known issues

1. Switcher do no close correctly for backwar switching (alt+shift+tab), if you using alt+shift for keyboard layout switching. Use another hot-key (ctrl+shift for example).

Window preview

How do i configure switcher to act like in this image? Showing a preview of the opened windows.

The default behavior is to show only icons when alt+tabing, and it works perfectly for me. But I want to know how to enable this setting.

Can't use Win+Space anymore??

Hi, this plugin is great, but i find myself unable to open the Applications menu with the shortcut "Windows Key + Space", how can I fix this?

Freezes on Juno

Whenever i try to switch tabs it freezes.

The error i get:
gala.desktop[9800]: Window manager warning: Buggy client sent a _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW message with a timestamp of 0 for 0x1c00003 (wingpanel)

Repository does not have a Release file

Whenever I add or update the ppa, I get this error:

E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/popye/eos-window-switcher/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.

Is there something to be done?

Group multiple windows of the same program (GNOME-style)

So: Is there a way to group multiple windows of a program into one icon and have a second keybind to switch between those like in Ubuntu GNOME?

Error during compilation

After installing all of the dependencies , i was prompted with this error .
this compilation error arised after upgrading to elementary os odin
