cistern-log4j's Issues

Loglevel is not getting set correctly

The loglevel is error in log4j but is sent to cistern as unknown.

Throwables don't get sent correctly.

Currently only the first line of the exception is sent to cistern.

Socket loss causes the appender to die.

If the socket connection closes or timesout, the appender doesn't reconnect to the server. This causes the appender to become useless until the app is restarted.

LoggerEvent.getTimeStamp() throws no such method sporadically

When I go to set the event's etime to the LoggerEvent timestamp. Sometimes a no such method exception is thrown. This causes the log4j to die and breaks the appender. Need to handle this more gracefully. Perhaps by attempting to get the time stamp. If the getTimeStamp doesn't exist then just use system time... dunno yet...
