What's a better way of displaying this?
Doing a live stream on Twitch and using you as a guinea pig, to demonstrate how to contribute to open source and create a pull request.
Since there's a lot of images below the fold it's worth checking out lazy loading them for better load times: https://github.com/verlok/lazyload.
I'd recommend the script from this section:

then it's just a case of changing src="..." to data-src="...".
Most of the images need some serious downscaling and conversions, also.
Eg. your top profile photo is a 800x800-ish PNG. It's being displayed at 300x300 (7x smaller) at the max and for a photo it would be smaller as a JPEG. For extra benefits make them progressive JPEGs.
