zmatrix's Issues

Feature Request: Glow/Blur?

Is it possible to add a glow or blur effect to the text strings?
This would give a CRT style effect, add some HD realism and really bring this fork into the future.
Please keep up the good work!

Create Discord for Project

I work in a few open source projects and it is very useful to have a Discord we can use for users and devs of the repo. I recently had an interest of reviewing this code and got the code fully building (with a version of Borland 6.0 that I found in an archive site). I have a few ideas to at replace the Borland forms so it would be good to chat in Discord whenever people that want to contribute are online.

Only partially filling up background

First of all, holy crap! I saw your comment to another user that you had forked and updated ZMatrix when I went to download it from Sourceforge. What a nice surprise! I thought this was literally the coolest program ever back in the day, and I've always re-downloaded it whenever I updated computers or Windows versions (and also to check if it's still online haha). So even though I'm a bit late, thank you very much! ๐Ÿ˜

I am running into a little issue though. I'm on Windows 10 x64 Build 2004 and my screen resolution is 1920x1080. For some reason, the code is only displaying on part of my background. See screenshot:

After I took that SS I installed the 1.5.2 version just to test it out, and it fills up the whole screen but it draws over absolutely everything, even my taskbar, and I can't click anything. I have to hit the Windows button on my keyboard to get the Start menu to open and then I can see my taskbar again and close ZMatrix manually. (Also during the install of 1.5.2. it gave me an error message about a font. Must have been related to already having 1.5.3. installed)

So then I went back to version 1.5.3 and for some reason the code started displaying a little bit bigger but still not the whole screen. (EDIT: After restarting my computer the size is back to the original screenshot) See screenshot:

I tried lowering my resolution and down to 1366x768 it fills up the whole screen; anything higher than that, it does not.

If you don't have any interest (or time) to work on ZMatrix any further I completely understand that, I just thought I would post this anyway, just in case. And thank you again for getting this into a workable state for Windows 10, if only for me to relive my memories of the 2000s! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘
