DVD Dispatch

Do you not have time to get out to the movies anymore? Do you ever see the trailer or advertisement for a movie and think it's something you would like to watch, but it will have to wait until it's available for rent. Unfortunately it's easy to forget every movie we want to watch unless we write it down, and even then we have to keep checking for its availability for rent. DVD Dispatch solves that problem by allowing you to enter a movie into your 'watch list', and once it becomes available for rent, you'll be alerted!

Getting Started

Prerequistes

You will need to have the following installed:

• React

  npm install -g create-react-app

• React Native

  npm install react-native

• Native Base

  npm install native-base --save

• Redux

  npm install redux

• React Redux

  npm install react-redux

• Xcode

Running

To run on the simulator run the following command

react-native run-ios

or you can specify a specific device

react-native run-ios --simulator="iPhone 8

dvd-dispatch's Issues

Track users and movies they add to their list

Provide options for snoozing alert (Day, week, etc)

Poll API/Web for release date(s)

Need to determine interval for polling the API.

Possibly check individual APIs for data (iTunes, Amazon, etc)

Alert based on purchase availability or rental availability

Will need to parse data returned to determine if movie is available for purchase, rental or both and alert accordingly

Search list for movie for deletion

Add movie to list only if it's not currently available

Just alert user immediately that movie is available for rent/purchase
