Overview

EcoPower Logistics comprehensive logistics solutions tackle the complexities of acquiring, storing, and transporting resources and goods globally. This project aims to create a Power BI report that enables stakeholders to monitor orders and product sales. The report is built using Power BI and is designed to provide a high-level view of crucial data for decision-making.

    • Create and Configure GitHub Repository
    • Create a repository for the project
    • Create a README.md file to describe the project and how to use the report.
    • Commit and push the report to source control.
    • Update the GitHub project iteratively to demonstrate progress.
  • Project Setup:

  • Create the Reporting Project

  • Clone your GitHub repository to your desktop.

  • Install Power BI Desktop.

  • Create a new Power BI Report named 'EcoPower Logistics โ€“ Order Monitoring'.

Process followed creating this project

To get started with this project, follow these steps:

  1. create and clone the GitHub repository.
  2. Install Power BI Desktop and sign in with your organizational account to access everything.
  3. Get the excel Data provided.
  4. Configure secure connections to data sources.
  5. Clean the provided Data and check for any Typing error and remove null rows.
  6. Create various pages for different aspects of the report.
  7. Start building the Power BI report.
  8. Add pages, High Level Overview, Order Monitoring, Product monitoring and customer Monitoring
  9. Create visualizations for high-level metrics, order monitoring, product monitoring, and implement filtering.
  10. Add filters for all pages
  11. Create live connection and publish
  12. Document how to use the report in the README.md.
  13. Create a reference list of sites and resources used for the project.

How to use this report?

  1. To use this Power BI report, one must navigate to the high level overview to get the summary of the data collected
  2. On the high level metrics, make use of filters to view data
  3. Next, Navigate to the Order Monitoring page to see the detailed information about orders, number of customers and quantity available
  4. navigate to the product monitoring page to monitor all the products available, you can filter this by category to check the number of products per category
  5. lastly, the customer monitoring page will show a table of all customers and their details such as order id, delivery address and phone numbers
