neurosurf's Introduction

NeuroSurf

Visualization tool for single neurons

  1. Loading a hoc file (Ovsepian et al. 2013 in the following example). Neurosurf automatically parses the file and creates the 3D morphology of the neuron.
  2. Importing the result of the simulation (Neuron).
  3. Pick a compartment, pick a point in time, and plot the activation.

neurosurf's Issues

How to run NeuroSurf?

Hi,
I am interested in trying out NeuroSurf to visualize some neuron models. But I am not sure how to. I have installed blender2.79 (Ubuntu 16.04) and have cloned NeuroSurf.
Thanks.

There is no windows_utils in preproc file.

I am sorry to ask a new question that when I try to run voltage.py in spyder in preproc file, I found that I didn't have windows_utils. But it seems that it is needed in the program, I think maybe it should be in the preproc file. So I want to know that could the author please upload it again in the github because there is also no windows_utils in the github source code file.
Sorry for the disturbation again.
Moreover, for the reason that I am not a professional programmer which means it is kind of difficult for me to figure out how to use NeuroSurf just by the resource of the code. Should I run the .py file or should I operate in Blender(I have already installed the NeuroSurf Add-ons.) So I reanlly wanna ask that could the author provide a more detailed tutorial that can help to use the NeuroSurf to print the video such as the example in the readme.md.
Looking forward to your reply very much.
