nanostat's Issues

This is almost impossibly useful for me!

Your instructions are faultless on a MAC as well. The serial port auto-detects for uploading, and SPIFFS file uploading from Platform.io/VS Code works as well.

Thanks so much for posting!!!

Power problem

Hello,

We got the electonic plate and the welds are good, but we got a power problem.
When we compile the code we get this error message:
"Power peak on USB port
Unknown USB device needs more power than what the port can provide."

Did anyone had the same problem?

Expected startup behavior?

Dr Burke,

I ordered a set of PCBs, and have followed the provisioning/firmware tutorial on Youtube. Thank you for such detailed explanations.

VSCode reports success on the build, the upload of the build file, and the upload of the filesystem image. However, after unplugging and restarting the nanostat hardware, I do not see the expected behavior. There is no access point, for example. I also attempted building and uploading the firmware again with my wifi credentials in the wifi-credentials.h file, and did not see the device on my network. I have power to the board as signified by two green LEDs shining.

I am worried I have a hardware issue. Before I dive into that, could you share if there is any other expected startup behavior from the board that I could use to confirm the ESP32 (or other hardware) is working? Are there any expected blue "blinky" LED flashes on startup? Are there any other tests you would recommend?

Thank you in advance. I know any support you provide here is a service.

Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy

This is a neat design, with a lot of hard work involved. Thank you for making and sharing this great piece of low-cost, portable technology.

I see that electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is not built in to the software controls. Is there a hardware obstacle to achieving EIS with this design? Other obstacles? More generally, is this design capable of EIS?

Thank you!

About Cyclic voltammetry range.

Hello, I am very impressed by what you shared in the NanoStats project. Currently I have a Potentiostat project with the required Cyclic voltammetry range from -1.5V -> 1.5V. Does your project meet this requirement? Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks a lot.

I can not connected to nanostat.

Dear Prof. Burke, @PeterJBurke

I have already compiled and transferred the firmware to the board. The board shows wifi "nanostatAP".

Now I am stuck on how to control the board using the web . I can not open ip address 192.168.4.1 and nanostat.local either.

Do you have any suggestion?

Regards,
Suntisak

Asking for Gerber Files

I am not able to find any Gerber files in the repository. May I got the access to the Gerber File of the Nanostat? Thank you in advanced, it helps me a lot to better understand the work flow of potentiostat!

Constant potential electrolysis

Dr. Burke,

I have one more question about applications of the Nanostat, then I promise to leave the issues board alone for a while.

Do you think the Nanostat hardware would be capable of constant potential electrolysis? I haven't found other applications in some googling around of others using the LMP91000 for this process.

I recognize I would need to do some programming to achieve this. If I do implement this successfully, I will fork the repo and share everything back.

Thank you for your thoughts!
