Warning: This library is in development phase and is not stable for real usage yet.

PhpWhois library is inspired by PHPWhois.org library and others, but aims to be updated for more recent version of PHP and with more domain servers.

Requirements

PhpWhois library requires PHP 8.1.

Installation

You can install the PhpWhois library with Composer (recommended way):

composer require petk/phpwhois

Autoloading

You can load PhpWhois library by using Composer's autoloader:

use PhpWhois\Whois;

$whois = new Whois('yourdomain.tld');
echo $whois->lookup();

phpwhois's Issues

[Bug] Server::getServerByTld() failed with unknown TLD

Hello. If I tried to execute (new Whois('ANY_DOMAIN.website'))->lookup();, this will cause a Type error in PHP

PhpWhois\Server::getServerByTld(): Return value must be of type string, null returned

Because getServerByTld expect to be return only strings, but there is no website TLD into an array of known.

Possible solution: add ?? operator to the method.
