pine64-scripts's Issues

Update to install-arduino-ide.sh

First of all thank you very much for your hard work.

I updated a copy of this script in my pine and noticed that in order to use arduino ide version 1.8.5 the fix for the serial monitor needed some changes: I had to modify the script to point to the file jssc-2.8.0-arduino1.jar.

Apparently this filename was changed at some point between 1.8.3 and 1.8.5...

Extra log mode and more tests

@ThomasKaiser Is the output of lsusb -t of enough interest to adding as another piece of data logged by the pine/rock diagnostic script (where present, obviously...).

Also, would you like a extra upload mode mode (i.e. uppercase U) that skips the file verification step, as that takes most of the time in running the script in that mode.

RfE: Add battery capacity to rpimonitor install script

Just a suggestion since I won't spend any more time on this... here's an RPi-Monitor template that also logs/displays battery information with legacy kernel: https://pastebin.com/JvxthdKS

TODO:

  • Figuring out how 'percentColors' work the other way around (displaying warning color if the value decreases below a certain treshold)
  • the more interesting variant: tune/tweak battery parameters after some discharging to get capacity value more close to reality in case it needs further calibration

Some improvement suggestions for pine64-diagnostics.sh

For the very simple reason to make ayufan's OMV images as compatible as possible to Armbian's I would propose the following changes:

  • implement also the monitoring mode (-m switch)
  • make it compatible to ROCK64 and future boards that are handled by Pine community
  • replace therefore in DisplayUsage function all occurences of the hard coded script name with ${0##*/}

This allows @ayufan to create a symlink called armbianmonitor to this script and at least -u and -m (the two functions I train OMV forum moderators currently with ;) ) functionality works. So for curious OMV users it really doesn't matter whether they fetch OMV version from Pine wiki or soon Pine Installer or later when an Armbian based OMV version is available from official OMV download page.

That's my main concern: Avoiding confusion.
