Could you assist us in debugging where the crash is happening?
We have compiled a set of instructions here:
https://github.com/pi-hole/FTL#debugging-pihole-ftl
Since FTL is working for you at least temporarily, you can skip steps 4.-7. and use the simplified debugging instructions given underneath.

Please try updating to FTL v2.9.4

I also get this SQL error (5): database is locked message, shortly after, FTL is offline, but i get no crash message. Do i have to increase verbosity somewhere ?

I upgraded to v 2.9.4. I'll report back when the problem reappears or when I have flawless operation for some time.
