I have fixed sleep but often my trackpad won't wake. Hardly had this issue on Big Sur but it started in Monterey. Any idea on how to fix this because this is getting kinda irritating
Hi, I have T470s with JHL6240 Thunderbolt, but not showing in system report. I saw your thunderbolt is showing in System Report, how did you managed that? Did you flash with custom firmware or just using custom SSDTs? Thankyou
Hello,
can You share what settings make Thunderbolt and Lossless music audio work ?
Thanks in advance!
Even when including Voodooi2c and Voodooi2cHID, the touchscreen still doesn't work.
Could you please take a look into this?
Can we use this config to T480 with i5-8350 Processor? Anybody?
I have ordered my Broadcom card and waiting for that to come. in the meantime I wanted to work out wired versions of both universal control and continuity camera. Sidecar works but not the others. Any idea why?
Is there any guide how to swap the windows key and the left alt? I'm used to using the alt key instead of the windows key as the Command Key.
Whenever I input the password for WiFi, it freezes and shuts down. I tried replacing with the latest version of AirportItlwm but haven’t gotten it to work.
I was on macOS Monterey 12.6.8
i5-8350U, same wifi card as the one listed in the readme
any ideas?
Airplay receiver was working in macOS Monterey but not in Ventura. Any idea why this might be and how can I fix this?
I have color banding issues. Is this fix which is implemented in this EFI is for specific LCD screen model or for all FHD models in T480? I’ve also tried with Skylake GPU spoofing, but it doesn’t work on Ventura, causing boot problems,
I extract the folder and copy the EFI into the stick and try to start OpenCore but it shows no signs of life, it goes directly to starting Windows which is my second OS on the disk
Dear Author,
i have been used this EFI for my Ventura 13.2.1, but it EFI folder is facing bluetooth problem, can you show me the way to fix it?
Thank you
when ı power on my thinkpad , ı see only black screen after lenovo logo . Opencore boot menu cant show. what is the problem ?
Hi, this "Lenovo ThinkPad Ultra Docking Station US (40AJ0135US)" is compatible with Mac OS Ventura?
I have a t480 with your EFI, Thunderbolt port is working (it show port on system information), and dual BOOT with Windows and Ventura.
I'm curious to know if this Docking Station will work, or anyone used with Ventura?
Thanks!
Booting my existing Monterey install with this EFI boots up to the login screen succesfully, but then crashes the whole system after some seconds or if I press anything.
Only thing I modified on the config.plist
is PlatformInfo > Generic > (generated smbios stuff)
.
When I plug in my phone to the charging port on my t480, everything is fine it detects the phone and all but when I change it to the tb port, it just charges. Any fix? Works on macOS big sur on my machine diff efi
Installed Ventura using your EFI, everything seems to work just fine but trackpad is not working. I made sure it is not a hardware issue by testing it in windows, works just fine there.
I have a problem, when the computer goes to sleep it no longer returns to the desktop and stays on a black screen, what could be happening?
I'm trying to fix some problems with my Backlight - BrightnessKeys that doesn't work, I'm using the thunderbolt and is working fine, but the Intel internal graphics is not detected in some way because on my screens the integrated screen is not detected properly, I followed the dorotania guide:
https://dortania.github.io/Getting-Started-With-ACPI/Laptops/backlight-methods/manual.html
The path of my device is: _SB_.PCI0.GFX0, and looking to the SSDT-Thinkpad_T480.aml this correspond to the PNLF.
Any suggestion to what I need to look?
The T480 is 8250u+MX150 and cannot start normally when using efi, the screen is black and there is no picture, but there is a backlight display, how to solve it?
even though i regenerated SMBIOS, the device property is still missing.
My CPU is 8550u.
Can you write a little bit about your merged T480 SSDT?
Thanks Pier for your pre-built, the starting on with the macOS sound it's really accurate. The EFI works incredible, in fluidity and responsiveness. I'm still adapting to this model T480.
Sadly, I'm facing some issues with Thunderbolt (not critical)
It just doesn't show up, but I'm not concerned as I don't need to plug a Thunder device.
But i had been trying to fix the sleep as you recommended, and its no being posible. Any help it would be appreciated.
About the TB I followed you guide but erased windows partition as I don't have any plans to use it.
About the sleep, as most users I need to close my notebook constantly while I'm moving around different buildings. Every time I shutdown or sleep MacOS, it thinks the system was hard-rebooted.
Thanks for sharing this EFI.
I'm using this efi on t480 i5 8250, with bcm94360ng wifi card installed. Since it should work native, I delete the wifi and bluetooth kext, but I have problem with wifi. I cant connect to new wifi without connecting lan cable first.
And i cant join to wifi that have web login portal.
Is there any solution to this? Thanks
The results of your config look great. But I can't recreate a working EFI folder from it. Can you share the full EFI folder? I miss the config.plist and kexts.
Nevermind it's in the releases
BIOS assist mode was disabled (original default setting)
Go to Lenovo and download:
Intel Thunderbolt Software (Version 17.x = n22ta14w.exe = latest)
Thunderbolt Firmware Update Utility (n24th13w.exe = latest)
Lenovo Power Management Driver (n3aku12w.exe = 1.68.30.0 i.e. an older version)
Turn on Flight mode to prevent Windows updating drivers
Uninstall Thunderbolt Software or Control Centre and go to Device Manager and uninstall Thunderbolt(TM) Controller
Whilst in Device Manager uninstall Lenovo PM Device
Restart
Install n22ta14w.exe and n3aku12w.exe
Restart
Go into Device Manager and check that Thunderbolt(TM) 17.4.80.94 and Lenovo PM Device 1.68.30.0.
You can also check Thunderbolt version in the Sys Tray Thunderbolt Software (Right click) -> about
Plug in charger to laptop, I used the non-Thunderbolt USB-C port due to the installation instructions on the next step
Install n24th13w.exe which will take you through an installer (which I hadn't seen until using the older Lenovo PM Device driver). It will say something along the lines of not plugging anything into Thunderbolt
Finish the installer and restart
Check Lenovo Software in Sys Tray; NVM version 23.0
Now turn on Wi-Fi
