Rstudio

brew install --cask rstudio :)

anaconda on linux

when running shell script, it asks us:

Preparing transaction: done
Executing transaction: done
installation finished.
Do you wish the installer to initialize Anaconda3
by running conda init? [yes|no]

i went with yes

Bash completion

it goes on and on until it gives up: /usr/local/etc/bash_completion:1633: command not found: #

Latex

brew install --cask mactex
(It's taking forever to install though....)

Snakemake version

I successfully installed snakemake but it doesn't like to tell me the version with snakemake --version. At first I thought it might be a zsh issue, but it worked fine with chromedriver --version

add a display size for wsl

Add this line to the bashrc file

export DISPLAY=$(awk '/nameserver/ {print $2}' /etc/resolv.conf):0.0

Webscraping

as before: brew install --cask google-chrome

Installing VS Code on Mac: broken verification link

Nothin major, but I thought I'd mention that the "below" link is broken

Python installation

The installation command should be updated to:
brew install --cask anaconda
