Explain surprisal

In chapter 2 Background, explain what surprisal means, maybe in footnote. See Hale's paper, or Vera's dissertation for short description.

Appendix with Bayesian network example

Link an Appendix to the Intro chapter.
In this Appendix, give a toy example, a textbook example of Bayesian network (alarm, burglary...)

Cloze ratings

1. New section on what close probability is in Chapter 2 [Background]
2. New table in Chapter 4 Methods to show close ratings for L, M, and H prob. sentences instead of regular o

Update publication list

In the Introduction chapter, update publications list.
Include Lang. and Cog. paper, and update Frontiers citation details from Lang.Cog. paper

Noisy channel equation

Consider replacing Bayesian network with the equation from Ryskin's 2018 Cognition paper (Comprehender' model the nature of the noise in the environment)

Cite MSc thesis

Something like:

Some studies, instead, attempt to control for the effect of attention in predictability effect, for example in lexical decision task (e.g., Bhandari, 2018).

Replace Phil with Rer nat

Replace PhD with Dr Rer nat in the title page.

Remove mathematical terms

• Remove mathematical terms from all the chapters other than Ch 1
• terms like $P(u_i,u_p)$

Proof reading

Check email and word doc that was proof-read for attn-prdn manuscript for general concept and implement it for all chapters

Add results and plots in 'graded prediction' chapter
