Solara is the bridge between Jupyter-based data-app development and production deployment.

What is Solara?

Solara lets you use and build data-focused web apps (data apps) using reusable UI components. Your app will work in the Jupyter notebook and production-grade web frameworks (FastAPI, Starlette, Flask, ...).

Solara uses proven technologies and mature standards. Grow from a one-off experiment in the Jupyter notebook or a dynamic data portal in production. Built on top of React-IPywidgets keeps your code complexity under control.

We care about developer experience. Solara will give your hot code reloading and type hints to faster development.

Suggestions for Beginner friendliness

  1. In Quickstart or getting tarted guide show how to install solara using venv it is lot easier then other methods.

  2. What really confused me on solara is that use of the name react I understand that it doesn't have anything to do with react but the similarities of the function name and patterns. But as a beginner i was like, is it vue? is it react? why vue and react together.

My advice will be to rename react to something else.

  1. I am sure more docs will be added in future. Adding a ToDo App tutorial will be really helpful.
