Hmm. I bet that you're using a different version of tweepy than I developed the script with. Can you check your version like so in an interpreter session?

>>> import tweepy
>>> tweepy.__version__
'1.7.1'
>>> 

The API signature for tweepy.streaming.Stream in HEAD at https://github.com/tweepy/tweepy/blob/master/tweepy/streaming.py looks the same as my script, so I wonder if you might be using an older version?

i am one version behind..wonder how come i dont have the latest tweepy..

is there any workaround for this?

You should be able to "easy_install -U tweepy" and get the latest. http://pypi.python.org/pypi/tweepy/1.7.1 is showing that 1.7.1 is the latest. Give that a try and see if it works for you. Alternatively, you can always install directly from the source on GitHub.
