For any none trivial system the volume of events would swap the logs.
What's your use case? Simply logging might not be the best option.

Thinking about this further, I think logging is an appropriate way of saying that we have published a message. I would suggest at info level. Additionally, users of app insights or similar would be able to get dashboards showing the event (if they wanted to).
If you are in an environment which has high volumes and concerned about the volume then you could change the log level for that class via config.
