Add stars to repos?

Would it be useful if I parsed the list to systematically identify how many github stars each repo has to add star icons star where applicable (repos that have 400+ stars)?

I could also at that same time add the link for the cran page where applicable.

Shall I do that and pull request it up to you?

is this list still maintained?

I totally understand if @qinwf maybe busy with your own things. However, the slow response rate of this repo is somewhat disappointing. There are a number of PRs waiting to be reviewed for ages.

How about the idea of moving it to an organization and recruit some members for helping to maintain the list, or recruit some collaborators to monitor it? Given the number of stars and forks, I am sure that there should be a number of people who are interested in moderating this (I am one of them).

AwesomeOpenSource

We are creating a github org for all awesome open source repos. I am working with a few individuals who are also managing their own awesome repos, and I think to gain more traction we need to work together. What are your thoughts about collectively moving your awesome repos to https://github.com/AwesomeOpenSource

The idea is that visibility for these repos would be increased due to more traffic to the org. What are your thoughts? Let me know if there is anything you'd like to discuss!

Adding collapse and fastverse

I thought this was unmaintained, but if it is being updated (I see polars being added), I would like to request collapse and fastverse to be added as well, as they are both enjoying increasing appeal in the community and provide excellent new functionality and resources for R users interested in high performance statistics and data manipulation.

Add R Markdown

R Markdown – An authoring format that enables easy creation of dynamic documents, presentations, and reports from R.

MOOCs section

I've been thinking about adding MOOCs section. There are quite a few courses offered on regular basis and I think these would fit nicely into Resources section. Do you think it is a good idea?

fuzzyjoin package

Join tables together on inexact matching

This includes joining based on geographical distance with longitude and latitude columns in tables to be joined, and fuzzy string matching.

Validate pull requests with Travis

Hello, I wrote a tool that can validate README links (valid URLs, not duplicate). It can be run when someone submits a pull request.

It is currently being used by

Examples

If you are interested, connect this repo to https://travis-ci.org/ and add a .travis.yml file to the project.

how about some spatial libraries?

You mention library(leaflet) (which starts with a smal 'l' btw) which is a mapping library, but I don't see any mention of other spatial libraries such as sp or raster. If you look at the download rates of these libraries, I would assume they are well worth pointing out here... That is, of course, only relevant if you understand awesome-R to be an objective list.

Links to CRAN views would be useful

The list of packages for machine learning could be improved with links to the R views like 'MachineLearning', and 'Cluster'. I originally put self-organising maps here (hence the title originally having 'kohonen'), but perhaps that's not quite machine learning enough?
