The first addon feature is for the Snipe-IT API. If you use Snipe-IT, you can create an API token and have the script automatically add machines and update specs for you. Currently it supports these features.
- Check if an asset exists and offer to add if missing
- Supports CPU, RAM, storage, MAC address, battery health and more via custom fields
- Update asset specs if they have changed since adding
- Check the name matches existing records in the database (and offers to update if mistached)
- Move employee username feature to an addon (mostly useful for imaging)
- Move "prepare" steps (password policy and disk rename) to an addon
- Load addon files dynamically from addons folder
- Load addon options into usage / help dynamically
- Generalize Snipe-IT addon custom field names (declare vars so they can be edited easily)
