cyrillic encoding

I love the gallery, however in R studio i can not reproduce the Tufte's template when i'm using cyrillic alphabet in the text. Can that be fixed somehow?

Mirrored column layout of "A Quarto Page Layout Example"

I like the example "A Quarto Page Layout Example" in https://github.com/quarto-dev/quarto-gallery/blob/main/page-layout/tufte.qmd. It illustrates very feature of Quarto, especially on page layout.

Can all figures be floated on the outer margins?

The Tuft Quarto example does not compile on the Posit Cloud

I wanted to use the Tuft Quarto example on the Posit Cloud (the qmd and the bib file here, but it does not compile. I get a tikz-related error message:

ERROR: 
compilation failed- no matching packages
Package tikz Error: Sorry, some package has redefined the meaning of the math
-mode dollar sign. This is incompatible with tikz and its calc library and might cause unrecoverable errors.

I can compile the tuft qmd to a pdf locally, I don't get any errors then. I do have the full TeX distribution on my computer that I updated recently, so maybe that makes a difference.

UPDATE: Uninstalling and reinstalling tinytex on the Posit Cloud did the trick, and the tuft.qmd compiled to a pdf.
