not working with epub format

Hi
when using fancy-text with epub I get the warning

[WARNING] Could not convert TeX math \LaTeX, rendering as TeX:
  \LaTeX
        ^
  unexpected control sequence \LaTeX
  expecting "%", "\\label", "\\tag", "\\nonumber", whitespace or "\\allowbreak"

and the epub shows $\LaTeX$

My temporary hack is to add an epub condition in the lua script
here for latex

something similar also for tex
